The liver performs many different functions. It contributes to digestion and the body's use of nutrients. But it also removes toxins from the body. In healthy people, it neutralises the various 'poisons' that food may contain: heavy metals, carcinogenic substances, etc. But when it is tired, it does its job less well. That's why it's a good idea to do a detox from time to time.

Recipe: 1 spoonful of parsley, 1 spoonful of fresh mint, 2 spoonfuls of lemon juice, 1 glass of water. Wash well. Then chop the parsley and mint. This allows the oils in these plants to infuse much better. Heat the water. Once it starts to boil, add the two herbs. It's very simple. Leave to infuse for 15-20 minutes. Then leave to stand for a further 10 minutes. Finally, strain all the ingredients to obtain the infusion. Take the infusion in a favourite mug and add two spoonfuls of lemon juice. If desired, add a little honey to sweeten slightly and drink this infusion after the main meal of the day.
